Disabling Users

Blink admins are able to delete or remove user accounts as needed.

Updated over a week ago

Blink administrators have permission to disable users' accounts. Whose account you can deactivate is based on your own permissions. Organizations with User Provisioning (SCIM) enabled will require the users to be disabled from that service.

🔕 Disabling an account

  3. Providing that you have the correct permission to do so, you will see the option to 'Disable User' on the right-hand side of this page.

  4. A confirmation will appear. Click the Disable User button to confirm that you wish to proceed.

⚠️ Troubleshooting

How is this information used?

This data is used to help identify issues that lead to regrettable leavers.

Who can see this information?

The last day is shown on the profile to all admins. Reasons for leaving will only be visible to organization administrators.

What should I do if I'm unsure?

If you’re ever unsure how to use this screen, please contact your manager or HR department for guidance.

Will any of their content still be visible once the profile is disabled?

Yes. Any Feed posts the user has made as well as messages they've sent would still be visible even once their profile has been disabled unless the user deletes this content themselves prior to the account being disabled.
